Leadership Development
Authored and launched a company wide ‘Leadership Academy’ focused on great leadership in several dimensions including personal energy management, operations excellence, real world problems and leading in a crisis. Nearly 300 leaders have graduated from the course and many have called it a “life-changing event”.
Transformational Change
Turned around the operational and financial performance of two large manufacturing organizations through the intensive application of continuous improvement tools, solid Hoshin planning (policy deployment) and daily leadership involvement. In the first of the two, on-time delivery improved from roughly 30% to 90+% in less than one year.
Aggressive Growth
Led a complex, multi-product global business to double in size from ~$600M to ~$1.2B over a six-year period through internal realignment, multiple acquisitions and $250M of organic growth. This resulted in an increase in shareholder value of over $2.1B.
Visionary Leadership
Rallied 3,000+ employees to cut costs and save jobs during the economic crisis in 2008-2009. The result was near zero layoffs (<1% of workforce) while growing operating margins ~50 basis points.
Portfolio Management
Developed and implemented a multi-dimensional process to manage investments for a complex $1B+ business to identify and pursue the best opportunities for optimal returns. The result was an improvement of over 400 basis points in operating margins and nearly $300M in new sales over a six-year timeframe.
Mergers and Acquisitions
Completed multiple acquisitions from identification through due diligence to close consisting of several international locations, including a Joint Venture in Japan, with total investment capital of nearly $500M.
C-Suite Coaching, Consulting and Advising
Worked with multiple CEO's and business owners with organizations ranging in size from $1.5 Million to $1.0 Billion. Provided confidential advising and was the catalyst for sweeping change through the implementation of strategic planning, LEAN/Continuous Improvement concepts, Policy Deployment, Talent Management and Operational Execution.
